Fall Season Menu Write-in Campaign

Dear Friends,

Time to start wearing sweaters and eating more comfortable food.

Back for a cameo this weekend is the good old fashioned Hamburger, a medium-sized flattened ball of fresh ground beef from Nectar Hills Farm which is aggressively salted and then peppered, then cooked on a flaming hot grill and finished in the oven. If you've never tried one of these babies, you don't know what you're missing. We put it on a brioche roll next to a pile of salty fries with garlic mayo (or aioli) and ketchup. The "Burger," as people with time constraints like to refer to it, is not often seen at The Rose and Kettle, so if you want to catch one, come in soon.

We've also got some other new old favorites to add to our menu. Rigatoni with Chicken and Shallots and Cream, Wild Salmon with Beet Emulsion, Braised Beef Stew with Cinnamon and Potatoes.

But today I'm announcing a new Special Event. We're contemplating several other old favorites and new items and we're even opening our minds to the memories of our friends and customers. Did you ever eat something at The R and K that you especially enjoyed and then it disappeared and never came back? Want it back? Vegetarian Spring Rolls, Salmon Tempura, Lasagna Bolognese. These things come to mind. But maybe there are things we're missing.

Go to our Blog, scroll down to the entry heading that lists all the old favorites we could think of, and click the COMMENT button. then just add your thought. This is an open call for your own personal FEELINGS and OPINIONS! What a lucky Break for YOU!

Bar Menu
The Bar Menu is now available every night at 8 PM. Great cheap eats and fun fare for all. Chicken Flatbread with Salsa Verde, Braised Pork Sandwich, Club Steak. Yes.

Music
Now, In a few weeks we'll be announcing the start of our Fall Sunday Nights Music Series. We are bringing in lots of new bands from out of town and some of our local favorites as well. For a sneak peek at some of the upcoming groups, check out the blog's new calendar of events. We'll be adding new bands as the slots fill up.
